Overview
Zetta’s metric builder is your primary destination for managing the data that is visible to your team. In order to get the most out of Zetta, you’ll need to add three things:
- At least one Data Model: a data model corresponds to a table in your warehouse/database or a query that returns a table-like dataset. All Metrics and Dimensions are derived from data contained within a Data Model
- One or more Metrics: Metrics are aggregations of the data contained in a Data Model, and are used to show summaries and time series on dashboards. Without at least one data model containing at least one metric, Zetta won’t create any automated content
- One or more Dimensions: Dimensions are categorical attributes in a data model. Using dimensions, it’s possible to filter or break down metrics to find insights. While it’s possible to set up Zetta with just Metrics (and without Dimensions), you won’t be able to effectively explore data without defining at least one Dimension.
