Frequently Asked Questions
You can create and manage custom dashboards using Zetta’s Dashboard Editor
Zetta’s automated dashboards are designed to account for the vast majority of use cases without having to manage or configure custom content. If you need a new report or analysis, consider:
- Creating a new metric or dimension: using metric filters, more advanced aggregations like cumulative counts, and advanced features like snapshotting can allow you represent a wide variety of measurements with the default metric builder
- Saving a bookmark to the automated dashboard with your desired filters in place
- Different teams might need to look at different subsets of data models for their specific use cases; by using bookmarks, the same dashboards can act as multiple dashboards
- Add an arrangement of customized charts to your personal dashboards
However, in some cases it makes sense to build a custom dashboard in Zetta:
- Additional chart types are available in custom dashboards, beyond the time series and summary table visible in the automated dashboard
- Custom dashboards can show a subset of metrics or dimensions from a data model, offering an additional layer of customization
- Custom dashboards can exclude certain parameters or customize the available values
- Custom dashboards make it possible to display charts and tables that use data from multiple data models at once
